Sorting Through the Online Clutter
With me knee deep in my 100 Things Challenge, I’m throwing out so much shit I don’t need in my life anymore. The problem is, I go online and find myself drowning in even more shit.
Let’s put work aside here for a second… I actually have so many random folders on my computer, haven’t done a proper back-up/clean-out of all my content, and STILL have hours upon hours of video footage I’ve yet to edit into something.
As fun and liberating as this whole challenge is to cut down my personal possessions to 100 things, I feel like the bigger challenge would be to put those efforts towards my online life.
So I’ve put together a Top 5 to-do list to accomplish over the next month of shit that needs organizing before insanity kicks in:

1) Videos: back-up and organize my travels and hopefully be inspired when I find things I forgot about.
2) E-mail Subscriptions- I don’t even read half of them anyway, time to hit that unsubscribe button.
3) Twitter Lists- my home feed is a mess. I want to organize my lists better so I can read about more specific things. (Oh, and stop following people that I don’t engage with/read content from anymore).
4). Photos: organize albums, and figure out what I want to store on ‘the cloud’ vs. on my hard drive
5). Clear up Computer Space- leaving me more memory to edit videos :)
Do you have any programs or apps you use to organize your online life? Share them with me!
